The original land for East Cobb Park was purchased by funds donated to the Friends for the East Cobb Park by individuals, businesses, civic groups, and foundations. The Friends for the East Cobb Park (FFECP) organization continues to provide a mechanism for the community to be actively involved in the development of East Cobb Park for today and for the future.

How Your Annual Membership Benefits the Park

While Friends for East Cobb Park is a 100% volunteer organization, there are ongoing expenses. Your membership funds provide the following:

  • Operations of FFECP.

  • Service projects in the park.

  • Community events such as the annual Holiday Lights, Sunday Music in the Park, and the movies in the park.

  • Getting a Voice in the Future of East Cobb Park

Your membership also provides useful feedback and direction in making our park all it can be. Members vote on officers and directors and will occasionally be asked for input on proposed initiatives. Our collective voice will guide how we make East Cobb Park the community centerpiece we all want. You will get to vote on occasional surveys about the future direction of the park. Individual members will get one vote, family memberships 3 votes, and organization memberships 6 votes.

It’s our community coming together to make our park beautiful!
