Families, individuals, churches, synagogues, school children, neighborhoods, businesses, and foundations continue to work together in support of the East Cobb Park. The first phase of the capital campaign began in July 2000. Planning and fundraising efforts have not ceased despite the appearance of a complete park.

Future Plans
Highlights of the immediate plans for the park include:

- Improvement of park trails from East Cobb Park to Fullers Park
- Upper level pavilion construction and playground
- Overlook area from upper level parking lot
- Landscaping of parking lot
- Installation of parking lot lighting

Through gift and recognition opportunities, general contributions from the community and SPLOST benefits, Friends for the East Cobb Park is confident that sufficient funds to fully complete the East Cobb Park will be acquired.
